damn broads! hiatus

the broads are taking a month off from playing shows to come up with all new material. we've gotten bored of playing the same nine songs show after show, and for those of you who have seen us on multiple occasions, well, we're assuming you're getting pretty sick of the same old songs, too. this is why we're taking the entire month of january to work on writing new material. so far it's not even january and we've got two new completed songs. bam! that's how you get things done, kids... watch and learn.

technically, "live in fear" is just "not like you", completely reworked. but we're considering it a new song because it doesn't sound much at all like "not like you" and we're actually proud of how this one sounds so we're making a big deal about it. yay, we're happy with our new angry religious ska song. woohoo! we're awesome... just kidding. we know we suck. but really, we are kinda proud of "live in fear" and cannot wait to debut it at our first show of the year (which, unless anything changes, will be saturday, february 12th at anna liffey's in new haven with the mcgunks and the main street suits. and what a good show that will be!)
